One of the oldest constellations in the night sky, Lyra represents the Lyre of Orpheus, a legendary bard, poet, and musician in Greek mythology.

Lyres were a prominent part of Ancient Greek life and storytelling, as performers played them to accompany lyric poetry and songs. The instrument was an important tool for reciting epic tales and handing down now famed myths and fables. Lyres were so ingrained in daily living that governments even inscribed the instrument on coins.

Storytelling brought the Ancient Greeks together - in the markets, at religious celebrations, and even at weddings and funerals. Thousands of years later, stories continue to entertain us, to entice us, to bind us.

Traveling bards relied on lyres to elevate their narratives and bring stories to life. You’ve got Lyra Communications.
